Chevrolet puts you at the center of everything we do, and in line with our efforts to ensure your safety and that your Chevrolet vehicle is at its optimum performance, The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet automobiles and parts in the Philippines, is conducting a Preventive Service Campaign for select Chevrolet vehicles that may have been affected by potentially faulty Takata airbags.
Chevrolet has learned that some of the Takata driver's side airbag propellant for the Chevrolet Sonic (from the model year 2012 to 2013), Chevrolet Cruze (from the model year 2010 to 2013), Chevrolet Orlando (from the model year 2012 to 2013), and Chevrolet Trax (from the model year 2014 to 2018) may degrade due to a combination of high humidity and temperature in our environment over a long period of time.
It has also come to our knowledge that select Chevrolet Suburban (from the model year 2007 to 2013) and Chevrolet Tahoe (from the model year 2007 to 2013) models may have been affected by faulty Takata passenger-side airbag inflators.
The Preventive Service Campaign aims to perform the necessary inspection on your Chevrolet vehicle and replace the airbag, to prevent any untoward incidents from happening. The service is free of charge, and should only take approximately one (1) hour. We ask the owners of the aforementioned vehicles to schedule their service immediately at any authorized Chevrolet dealership near you.
