Home or On the Road: Charging the Chevrolet Captiva EV
Charging an electric vehicle becomes easier to understand when there are practical options for different situations. With the Chevrolet Captiva EV, drivers can choose between AC and DC charging depending on where they are and what kind of charging setup is available.
For regular charging, the Captiva EV supports up to 6.6 kW maximum AC charging. This gives drivers an option that can fit into a more routine charging setup, including situations where the vehicle can be plugged in for a longer period.
When a higher charging capacity is needed, the Captiva EV supports up to 120 kW maximum DC charging. This gives drivers another way to recharge when they are out on the road and have access to compatible DC charging.
Both charging options are supported through a CCS2 charging connection, giving the Captiva EV a practical interface for its charging system.
The vehicle also comes with a portable charger included, adding another useful element to the Captiva EV’s charging package. Having a portable charger available gives drivers an additional charging option as part of everyday EV ownership.
Together, these features help make charging more flexible. The 6.6 kW maximum AC charging capacity supports regular charging needs, while the 120 kW maximum DC charging capacity provides a higher-powered alternative when available. CCS2 charging ties the system together, while the included portable charger adds another layer of practicality.
Whether charging as part of the daily routine or topping up while away from home, the Chevrolet Captiva EV offers different ways to keep electric journeys moving.
It is a charging setup designed around choice, giving drivers practical options whether they are at home or on the road.
